In a collective show of effort from Bandai Namco to bring their Purpose, “Fun for All into the Future”, to life, Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia, BANDAI SPIRITS CO., LTD and Bandai Namco Asia Co., Ltd have joined forces to showcase their wide array of products to the visitors of Thailand Game Show 2022 — from their key and upcoming game titles such as ONE PIECE ODYSSEY, DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of the Great Kingdom and DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS to their collectibles and action figures from Gunpla, Banpresto and Tamashii Nations.

“We were extremely excited to reconnect with our Thai fans in-person again once we heard that Thailand allowed the return of on-ground events — and so we were determined to make our mark at this year’s Thailand Game Show,” said Rainel Tan, General Manager, Sales & Marketing, Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia. “For the first time ever, together with BANDAI SPIRITS CO., LTD and Bandai Namco Asia Co., Ltd, we are proud to usher in this new era of entertainment post-pandemic and continue bringing fun to all.” 

At the featured booth, visitors are able to try their hand at exclusive game demos for Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia’s upcoming and recently launched games such as Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits, DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS, Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival and PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC. Meanwhile, Thai game demos for SD GUNDAM BATTLE ALLIANCE, ONE PIECE ODYSSEY and DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of the Great Kingdom are also available for visitors to try.

Apart from exclusive game demos, special announcements have also been made at the event. For instance, the game producers of DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of the Great Kingdom and ONE PIECE ODYSSEY, Koji Nakajima and Katsuaki Tsuzuki, took on the main stage earlier today – providing visitors with exclusive announcements and never-before-seen gameplay footage of the two upcoming titles.  

One of the System Trailers for DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of the Great Kingdom was revealed for the first time on the main stage — featuring gameplay footage of the ways players would be able to socialize with villagers, alongside tips and tricks on how to win over their friendship to progress in the game. 

Details of the game’s first DLC pack was also shared for the first time on stage. The DLC pack, “Winter Life”, will be released on 2 November 2022 — the same day as the game’s launch date. The DLC pack contains costumes for Noby and friends as well as furniture — all of which is centered around the theme of winter life. A playable mini scenario is also included in this pack, featuring a new secret gadget.

A new game feature was also pointed out by Koji Nakajima during the main stage session, where the way each player rears and raises their animals will now affect their animals’ outer appearances. How well the animals are being taken care of by the players will lead to changes in their patterns and colours — leading to a more personable and immersive game experience for players. DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of the Great Kingdom, which will be localised in Bahasa Indonesia for the first time ever as well as in Thai, will be released on 2 November 2022 on the Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, and STEAM®. ONE PIECE ODYSSEY

For ONE PIECE ODYSSEY, gameplay footage showing Alabasta was revealed for the first time on the main stage earlier. This comes off the back of the Kingdom of Alabasta trailer that was released in early October 2022, which showed viewers a glimpse into what they can expect in such a nostalgic location. 

Amidst the special announcements and trailers shown, visitors were also treated to a special video message from Marika Kohno, the voice actor for Lim, as well as Kappei Yamaguchi, the voice actor for Usopp — a video that was exclusively shown at the ONE PIECE ODYSSEY zone at Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia’s booth. ONE PIECE ODYSSEY, which will be localised in both Bahasa Indonesia and Thai, will be released on 12 January 2023 on the PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. The STEAM® version will be available the next day on 13 January 2023. 

A unique array of figurines and plastic models related to the featured IPs at the event are put on display in the respective game zones — offering fans a cohesive look into how toys and video games are connected.
