Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia is pleased to announce Tamagotchi Plaza – Nintendo Switch™ 2 Edition will be releasing on Thursday, 26 June 2025. 

Along with the release announcement, we have unveiled the newest announcement trailer. Additionally, information about exclusive shops for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version, which differ from those in the Nintendo Switch™ version of the game has been shared on the official X account.

Tamagotchi Plaza – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch™ 2!​ 

​Following the recent announcement of the Nintendo Switch™ version, Tamagotchi Plaza is also set to be released on the Nintendo Switch™ 2!​ 

The Nintendo Switch™ 2 version, titled Tamagotchi Plaza – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will feature a total of 15 shops, including the 12 shops from the Nintendo Switch™ version and additional shops that will utilise the new mouse control feature of the hardware. Enjoy a different gameplay experience compared to the Nintendo Switch™ version.​ 

Secret Shop in Tamahiko Town…? 

Rumour has it that somewhere in Tamahiko Town, there’s a shop that resembles a Secret Shop. It seems that even the Gotchi King, Princess Tamako, and Prince Tamahiko are regular customers at this shop...​ 

Upon hearing the rumours, the player is asked by Gozarutchi, who runs the shop alone, to help out at the Secret Shop!​ 

3 shops to enjoy with “mouse control”​ 

At the Secret Shop, you can help out at the Sushi Shop, Shuriken Shop and the Sushi Shuriken Shop. Enjoy these special shops that will utilise the new mouse control feature of the Nintendo Switch™ 2.

Sushi Shop 

Grip the Joy-Con™ 2 like you're making sushi, and shout “Here you go!” 

​Pay attention to the order and firmness of the sushi and serve it according to the menu.  

Don't forget to serve ginger and tea as well!​ 

Shuriken Shop 

Hold the Joy-Con™ 2 upright as if you're throwing a shuriken, align the cursor with the center of the target, and... swoosh!​ 

Aim accurately and entertain your customers with an exciting shuriken show.​

Sushi Shuriken Shop 

Sushi is all about speed! Quickly prepare and deliver sushi to your hungry customers!    *To play, you will need a Nintendo Switch™ 2 console and Joy-Con™ 2 controllers.
