Launch Trailer Unveiled; Dorothy, an All-New Original Character for the Game, appears in a New Guise
Released today, the latest entry in the series is based on an all-new War of Underworld story arc that is unique to the game and features more characters and episodes than ever before.
The launch trailer, which has been unveiled to commemorate the title’s release, shows Kirito and his party fighting against the God of Darkness, Vecta, as him and his lieutenant Vassago attempt to steal the artificial intelligence A.L.I.C.E.
Dorothy, the original character who appears in this title, is also featured with a brand-new appearance.

An original character appearing from this title, this young Dark Knight dispatched from the Dark Territory as an envoy to the Human Realm appears in a new guise.

What is SWORD ART ONLINE Last Recollection About?
Originally based on a novel by Reki Kawahara, SWORD ART ONLINE is an acclaimed anime series that follows the adventures of its young protagonist, Kirito, within the next-generation Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game known as SWORD ART ONLINE.
This latest entry in the series is based on an all-new War of Underworld story arc unique to this game, and features more characters and sub-episodes than ever before in order to portray a setting different from that of the source material and anime.

The threat of annihilation draws near for Underworld, a virtual world designed to give birth to the supreme AI known as A.L.I.C.E.
The Final Stress Test served as the beginning of the end...The gate dividing the Human Realm and the Dark Territory has been thrown open, causing the shadow of war to be cast over the two realms.
Just then, a young dark knight girl appears crossing the boundary from the Dark Territory, appear before Kirito and his companions...
