Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia and SQUARE ENIX are pleased to announce that DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake – the narrative continuation and ultimate conclusion of last year’s acclaimed DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake – will launch the physical edition on 30 October 2025 on Nintendo Switch™ 2, Nintendo Switch™ and PlayStation®5.
Experience the worlds of DRAGON QUEST I and II as one game in HD-2D for the first time! Embark on two more grand adventures which take place chronologically after the events of DRAGON QUEST III.

Story
DRAGON QUEST I:
Thanks to the heroic efforts of the legendary Erdrick, the Lord of the Underworld was defeated and peace returned to the land of Alefgard. Yet this peace was not to last, as the diabolical Dragonlord rose up and unleashed horde upon horde of monsters on the realm once more. Now it falls to you, Erdrick's descendant, to lay the fiend low and rescue the world from its plight!
DRAGON QUEST II:
Many years have passed since Alefgard was saved at the hero's hand, earning him the same title as his storied forebear. Now there thrive three new kingdoms founded by this latest Erdrick and his scions. Yet so, too, thrives the darkness--- a sudden invasion of malicious monsters plunging the world into shadow once again. All that stands between the forces of evil and their wicked ambitions is a band of young princes and princesses of Erdrick's line. The time has come for them to venture forth and do their ancestor proud!

The DRAGON QUEST Erdrick Trilogy Collection, which combines DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake and DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake, available in digital edition only, will also launch for the same platforms on 30 October 2025*.
