Today, independent video game developer, Sandfall Interactive; games publisher, Kepler Interactive; and exclusive distributor of the package edition, Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia, released the first in a series of weekly new trailers putting the spotlight on the various playable characters for the upcoming Reactive Turn-Based RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. 

To kickstart the series, the character trailer for Gustave has been unveiled. Watch now: 

Each character in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has their own stories, motivations, and emotional character arcs that players can look forward to discovering when the game launches on 24 April. Additionally, alongside their own skill trees and powerful weapons to discover, each character also has a unique combat mechanic to master in their mission to destroy the Paintress. In today’s trailer, fans can discover more about Gustave (voiced in English by Charlie Cox and in French by Alexandre Gillet), an engineer who has dedicated his life to the city of Lumière’s defense and agricultural systems. As an Expeditioner, he devotes his final year of life to defeating the Paintress and reclaiming a future for Lumière’s children.  

New trailers featuring additional party members will release regularly in the run up to the game’s launch next month on Sandfall’s official YouTube channel.  

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is launching on 24 April 2025 and is available to pre-order now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (available on day one with Xbox Game Pass), and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
